Prank part 2

November 30, 2007

On Wednesday after I got done doing the dishes….I decided to put the rubber band back on the sprayer and not tell anyone. Its about 12:15pm, Shaun Felechner and myself are sitting back in the study room, studying of course. When I see Slim walk into the kitchen and I hear an unnecessary about of cuss words. We look up and see Slim taking his shirt off. And I remember about the sprayer, I told Shaun and he just started laughing. Slim storms into the living room to yell at Danny (who is playing the xbox) and Danny ignores the flow of questions mixed with profanities. He bolts back into the study and asked me if I did it. And I said “Yes, I did.” and he called me a bad word and put his shirt in the dryer. Took it out 2 minutes later and went to class all made. ( I guess it was one of his favorite Under Armor shirts, it was impossible for him to pick out another shirt out of his Under Armor filled closet.

Slim and Danny leave, Adam walks in. We go into the living to watch tv, but theres a problem….I notice the remote to the TV and the xbox controllers are gone….Slim hid them…so me and Adam go looking for them. It takes us all but a minute to find them. They are in his underwear drawer. (Apparently he doesnt take jokes well and he cant find good hiding places) so we grab them watch tv and play xbox and put them back in the drawer before he comes home. We knew we would be more willing to go without xbox and change the channel manually then Slim. So we dont give him the satisfaction of asking him where the remotes are.

Sidenote: Adam put the rubber-band back on and Danny got sprayed…and he didnt cuss and hide stuff…he did what any normal person would…laugh…come on you just got sprayed and you had no idea it was coming…its funny.

Lets move on to the next day….I walk in from class and I’m cleaning the room with Adam…I find a hoodie and a pair of jeans soaked in water. I whispers to me (because Slim in the living room) that Slim threw my clothes in the shower. I knew he would love nothing more to come into my room and laugh at me because my clothes were wet so I just said out loud, ” Oh my clothes are wet…. oh well they were dirty anyways…” And that just pissed him off even more then getting sprayed with water. If I know Slim the one thing that he has most is Pride. Always has to get the last word. So I ignore the clothes walk into the living room and he asked me… This is how the conversation went(S = Slim K= Khang)
S – ” So do you like your clothes sprayed or extra soaked.”

K – “Eh. They were dirty anyways.”

S – “No I got them for your closet”

K – “Well they were still dirty”

S – “So its funny when I get sprayed but when I do it to you its not?”

K – “Theres a difference in getting sprayed and throwing someones clothes in the shower”

S – “Not to me.)

K- Ok…

S – “Why are you being such a baby? Just admit that I got you”

K – “What? How did you get me? All you did was throw my clothes in the shower…”

S – “Why are you being such a baby about this?”

K – ” A baby? Oh im sorry here is this the reaction you wanted

Oh no my clothes are so wet. What am I going to do? I have to wash them! I am going to go hide all of my things!!! nooo! ( in a very very sarcastic way)

S – ” Ha. See. I’m going to get you a freaking pacifier! ( and he was being serious)

K – “Ok..”

So I live with one of the most ridiculous and most difficult people ever. Sorry this post is long I just wanted to share.

DOG FOUND!

November 28, 2007

Great News! I heard from Chris last night that Zhya was found! She got out and the neighbors picked her up because they knew that C.Js parents were in Hawaii. They saw the signs around the neighborhood and called C.Js Grandparents (Nan-na and Burt) So Zhya is safe and sound. On behalf of C.J, Chris and myself I would like to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers!

Pranks

November 27, 2007

So…yesterday was Slim’s birthday…so Adam, Danny and myself decided to play a birthday prank.

Monday’s are Slim’s Dish Days or (SDDs) so I took a rubber-band from work and tied it onto the hose next to our sink. (ideally Slim would turn on the faucet and get sprayed by the hose) well Slim didn’t do his dishes until this morning…but! Jenn Harper did turn on our sink and got sprayed along with Leah Walker. It was pretty funny!

Though we did not hit our main target yesterday…we will get him before this semester ends….and many more times. But I am super paranoid about the whole thing, like today…I turned on the sink knowing that the rubber-band was not on but I jumped backed and scream thinking I was going to get sprayed…

Hopefully I can get a video of Slim or of someone getting sprayed and post it on here. So if anyone has one of spray things on there sink….get a rubber-band and do it. and then tell me about it!

Lost Dog!

November 25, 2007

Thanksgiving Break.

It was good. Good to see my family. So good to hang out with my family. They are a crazy bunch but I like em. This week I got my fair share of Vietnamese food, which is always good. Got to see some friends. And missed others.

Well Kansas lost….but I’m ok. I am very surprised about how not angry I am. Maybe this is the first step in that hole not caring as much, you can read about it here. But they will get into a BCS and hopefully do good, instead of being embrassed against OU or West Virginia in the National Championship.

But on a sadder note. My friend Cj’s dog Zhya ran away. Shes a full blood German Shepard thats about 10 months old. He is in Hawaii with YWAM and his dog got out. So they are looking for her I don’t know if they found her yet but I hope they do. Its cold and rainy and I hope she is ok. Come back home Zhya!!!

Farewell (for now)

November 17, 2007

So last night Chris, Tom, JJ and myself went up to Dallas to see Nickel Creek. We met up with Sarah, Olivia, Garrett and Anna at House of Blues.

It was amazing. I havn’t been to many shows but the ones I go to are pretty sweet. Sigur Ros, John Mayer, and Nickel Creek to name a few. Their voices are so good. The raw musical talent from all of them was great. Chris Thile’s mandolin solos were awesome.

Its sad to see them go away (for now). The seats were great, the atmosphere of House of Blues was perfect (besides the annoying screaming girl) I would have liked to hear “Doubting Thomas” but hey it was great. I feel sorry for all of the Nickel Creek fans out there who have missed their chance to see them live. I’m sure they will get back together later on and I will go see them again but you guys missed out on an amazing farewell tour.

This was a pretty fun song. Its called “Set Me Up With One of Your Friends” its about how when you break up with someone you got to take care of them afterwards.

Double-Doubles? or the Bible?

November 15, 2007

My friend Daniel made an interesting point the other night…. I know too much about sports. He said it was ridiculous how much I knew about sports and how I can retain stupid statistics about how many points Yao had in the first game (25 points, 12 rebounds) and said he would buy me and ice cream cone if I could tell him who won the 1999 Superbowl…(the Denver Broncos) and I’m still waiting for my ice cream cone. (He did that to prove a point that I know to much useless information)

He said I can remember much more useful things like scripture, or things for test. Its not like I don’t enjoy reading scripture or the things I learn at school..it just doesn’t stick. I can spit out what college an NFL or NBA player went too but can’t remember John 3:16or how to find the standard deviation of something in Finance class! But I enjoy sports. Maybe to much. I yell and scream at the TV and actually get sad after the Rockets lose. And will probably be sad when/if Kansas loses to Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship (if they get there). I don’t know how to change it.

Quiet Time?? I think not!

November 13, 2007

One of my duties at the BSM is to check up on the prayer room. (e.g. make sure everything is nice and need and prayerful, make sure everything is up to date and to turn off the lights when we are about to close.)

So one evening a couple of weeks ago, I was getting ready to close. Making sure everything was locked and put up in the BSM. I was singing a song and sort of skipping my way through the halls while going making sure everything is how it should be when its closing time. On the prayer room there is a sign that said “Vacant” or ” Full”. So as I was skipping and singing I noticed the sign in the Prayer Room said “vacant” so I barged in the room, basically skipped my way in to turn off the light in the very back, and when I turned around to turn off the other lamps in mid-chorus of a song, there was a girl sitting in the corner of the room on the floor. The expression on her face was nothing more then absolute fear.  I let out a loud scream, there was no way I could try to play it cool….so I asked her if she wanted the rest of the lights on in the most calm way possible and left. When I walked outside I flipped the sign to “full” and rushed home to get a new pair of underwear!

That girl was just trying to find a nice quiet place to pray. and BAM in comes Khang skipping and singing a song. I’m pretty sure has nightmares now or is extremely terrified to pray.  I think I ruined her faith! I just thought I would share that experience with you guys!

Im pretty sure this is what she saw when I found her sitting in her prayer corner.

ZZZzzz……

November 13, 2007

Three cappuccinos at 11pm is a bad idea!

We went to Dennys tonight has some of you might have read on Daniel’s blog. I was craving some French Vanilla Cappuccinos (for old times sake) I guess it slipped my mind that cappuccinos have caffeine, and I guess I also forgot that I had class in the morning….so I drank about three of them (the waitress kept bringing them out) and now I cant sleep. They were good and it was free refills! I laid down at 12 pm. Tossing and turning. Ive tryed watching a movie, reading, counting and just laying here but I cant seem to stay still….so I’m going to try blogging. I’ ve checked my Facebook and Email about 50 times and I’m sure I’ve read everyones blog post at least twice. Tomorrow is going to be a long day and I am going to be exhausted….so if I seem a bit agitated you’ll know why….

Nickel WHAT?!?!

November 12, 2007

So something very scary happened to me this morning.

I woke up this morning and walked over to my desk. I opened up the drawer and in that drawer that was an envelope. The contents of that envelope are important to me. So I opened it up, took out the concert tickets, and took a quick glance at the name of the band. For that split second I thought the tickets said ” Nickelback”,  I got this weird feeling of shock, (the kind where you get like a quick heat rush and you sweat…I dont know…maybe it only happens to me…) and read it again quickly and it was indeed the correct band “Nickel Creek”

Then I thought how funny but disappointed (maybe pissed) Sarah would be if I called her and told her I bought Nickelback tickets back in August instead of Nickel Creek tickets. But the concert is on Friday and I’m pretty excited!

You can easily get the two bands confused…
